A Year in the Barrel, at Least
Don Julio 1942 Year of the Snake Añejo Tequila is añejo tequila from Don Julio, aged in oak for at least a year and bottled at 40% ABV.
Barrel age turns the agave rich, rounded, and slow. It rewards slow sipping and still shows up strong in a Paloma.
Tasting Notes
Warm caramel, vanilla, and roasted agave with toasted oak
Luxurious butterscotch, tropical fruit, and silky spice
Long, opulent, and celebrated for good reason
Serving Suggestion
Pour an añejo Old Fashioned — agave nectar, mole bitters, orange peel.
