Questions, answered
What is the difference between whiskey and whisky?
Same spirit, different spelling traditions. American and Irish producers usually spell it whiskey; Scotland, Japan and Canada use whisky. Both mean grain spirit aged in oak.
How should I store whiskey?
Upright, away from direct light and heat swings. Unlike wine, a sealed bottle of whiskey does not age or improve - it stays as bottled for decades if the cork stays sound.
Does whiskey go bad after opening?
Not quickly. An opened bottle kept upright with a tight cap holds its character for one to two years; very low fills oxidize faster, so finish the last quarter sooner.
Are the bottles at Order of Spirits authentic?
Yes. We are a licensed US retailer and every bottle comes through licensed distributors - the label listed is the label you get.
How much is shipping?
Free on every order, no minimum, tracked and insured. An adult 21 or older signs at delivery.
